No product image on product page [SOLVED}

Hi,

yesterday I updated Hikashop from 1.5.x to the latest 2.1.1

now, after adding a new product the way I was used to, the product does appear in my shop, does have an image on my products page but when opening the product details page, no image is shown.

If you hover with your mouse on the spot where the image should be, you can actually find the pop-up image, which does appear after clicking in a pop-up, so that one is there.

When I look inside the html with firebug, it shows me it wants to load the image from:
/media/com_hikashop/upload/thumbnail_53x150

looking inside that folder with ftp: no image is there, so... it didn't get created somehow?

looking in this folder, I did find the image:
/media/com_hikashop/upload/thumbnail_54x150

so.... there's a 1px difference?

what can be the problem, and how to solve this?

kind regards,

Corine

all right, found something myself, I have template overrides, and those are from 1.5.x,

so I think I should adapt them to the newer 2.versions

Hi,

Regarding to the images the system has a little bit changed. But should work with old overrides.
You can try to remove and add again the images. Remove the thumbnails folders will re-create automatically the thumbs.

thanks, I can try that as well.

but what solved it is putting the new show.php view (product) in my template's html folder.

that solved it, as well

I am having the same problem....

After reviewing this thread, I removed the thumbnail directory, deleted the image and started over again.

Still have problem, on the product detail page the image does not appear...however if you inspect it, it refers to the thumbnail directory 150x103...which does not exist and was not re-created after I deleted it, and reuploaded image.

Using J2.5.11 and Hika Essen 2.1.3

Hi,

Do you have a link to your website ?
Can you provide more information about your thumbnail settings in the HikaShop configuration ?

Thanks,

Hi,

I fixed your website.
You have an override of the view "product | show" which display the image itself.
This code came from HikaShop 1.5.4 and it called the helper image with two missing parameters.
The side effect is that the image was created in a wrong directory.

I updated your view in order to pass the wanted height and width, now the images are right displayed in your pages.
