Hi!

I have my own translation of Hikashop in Kazakh language, but it doesn't work, I mean, even though that the default language for my shop is set as Kazakh, the hikashop uses english translation file, not the Kazakh one...

It is on my localhost yet... so I can't give th URL, but may be you still can advice something. I'm using Joomla 2.5.9 and a HikaShop Starter 2.1.1

Hi,

It's probably that that you made some mistakes in the file and joomla is not able to parse it.
Turn on the debug language option of the joomla configuration and at the bottom of your pages it will tell you where are the errors in the translation files.

Very strange, it did show me the error on some line, there was an extra line, I have corrected it, but it still shows me the english translation.

and the other strange thing is that it shows me that uploaded language files are russion, but says nothing about the kazakh translation files.

I'm using russian translation on the administrator side, but for the fronend the KAzakh is set by the default.

Why?

Here under the page it shows me that it loads kz-KZ files for joomla, but en-GB for the hikashop.
Why?

It means that the file language/kz-KZ/kz-KZ.com_hikashop.ini does not exist. Please check that it is there via FTP.

I tried it on my end and it's working fine.

Here is the kz-KZ file that you shared with us with the additions of the missing translations for the latest versions of HikaShop. I used that translation file.
