Create account for user in manual order?

Hi,

We have HikaShop Business.

Our products are virtual products (files that customers download). Some of our customers must pay for orders offline. For this reason we have an order delivery person who creates orders on the back end. Until now we have been emailing the link to the customer so that the customer can download without having to log in.

What we would rather do is to set up an account for the customer at the same time that the order is created on the back end of HikaShop. We do not want to give the order delivery person direct access to the Joomla account creation interface. Is there a way that she can access the HikaShop user registration from the back end instead? We understand that registering the user through HikaShop will create a Joomla user.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Reddeer

Hi,

My "solution" would be to directly ask to your customer to register through your Emails/Hikashop Emails through "Hikashop->System->Emails".

Hope this will help you a little.

Hi Mohamed,

Thank you, but no, that would not be a solution for this use case. The issue is that these customers are institutions, not individuals. Putting the responsibility of creating an account on the customer, who has already prepaid, would be viewed as asking the customer to compensate for a shortcoming in the process.

To put it another way, can we access the same registration form that the user is offered, but without going through the checkout process, since the user has already paid? Maybe the HikaShop developers could tell us a path to this form.

If not, I would like to suggest that the ability to create an order in the back end also allow creating an order for new customers, not only existing customers.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Reddeer

Hi,

The registration form of the checkout is also available as a menu item. Simply create a hikashop user registration type menu item via the joomla menu manager and you will be able to access it on the frontend of your website.

Thanks!

It looks like there is no direct back end access to HikaShop customer registration and the workaround would be to make the HikaShop user registration a menu item available to the order technician when she is logged in to the back end. Time to research how to do this in Joomla 2.5.
