Filter Pains

First time using the filters, So have no clue.

I've guessed that you add a custom field (however not sure if it's text or dropdown etc, i went with dropdown though, don't want it displayed on the product just for the purpose of this filter/search)

Then i made a filter, how do i now actually add it into the front end? Would like it either in a menu or in the description part of the category/product listing.

I have been reading through: www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...-filter-listing.html So i sorta understand the basics.

I would like 6 drop down menus where you select the options of what you want and it narrows down what is displayed. Would want it displayed on a page like: tradelights.co.uk/Product-Categories/cat...51-led-high-bay.html

Thanks,

Tom.

Small update: Tried it with drop down menus, didn't work however i have managed to get it working with checkboxes (it's a start!) It also is displayed on the top of the category i posted above, but it's also at the end of the page, anyway of removing it from the end but keeping the top?

Another update, how would i get them all in one row?

At the minute there seems to be two columns, i'd want 6 or so if possible.

On a side note, this is amazing, you've done this filter very very well.

Hi,

As I can see, you have solved your problem.
The filters are only at the top, and I can see 5 columns and 1 row :)

I did!

However only have one problem now, i would like to add a search to the right hand side, yet it's 10 pixels too long, how would i shorten it?

Thanks,

Tom

You can probably do it via css. Just set a width on the input field of the search.
