Alphauserpoint plugin

Hi,

how do you list the alphauserpoint as one of the payment option?
Currently i enabled paypal, bank transfer. It is listed when user go to the payment page.
I have enabled the alphauserpoint plugin as well, however when user reach the payment page, only the 2 plugin above(paypal, bank transfer) are listed for selection.
The points user have automatically deducts.
Is there a setting i can let user decides whether or not to use their points?

Hi,

The "AlphaUserPoints plugin" could be used as a payment plugin or as a dynamic "coupon" generator.
The option "Use virtual coupons" determines which method the plugin will use.

Hi Jerome,

thanks, manage to get it work the way i want.
However, during the payment when user choose to deduct from the point -> a coupon is auto generated and consumed -> if user decide to cancel the coupon -> the points did not go back to user? is this norm?

Hi,

When the plugin is configure to create a coupon code (not a virtual coupon), it uses points to create a "real" discount coupon.
This coupon have a code and could be use only by the user. But if he remove it, the coupon is not deleted so the points are not re-credit.

thanks for the explanation! Is there any way to make it recredit back? It feels wrong.

also is it possible to let user control how much point they want to use?

Hi,

With the classical mode (no virtual coupon) it is not possible because the coupon is not destroy if it is removed by the user.
This classical mode is not really supported now because the "virtual coupon" mode is more user-friendly and I think it would be easier to add options in this mode like:
- do not use my points (so, no discount)
- use X points (so, a new value for the discount)
And more...

It is some ideas that we have in our TODO list but there is not planning for this implementation.
