Hello,

I've probably just missed this but I am trying to add the GST line on the invoice from orders and can't seem to find what i need to do to display it.
I've created the tax and the rate to go with and it's all applied on the products and front end but not on the invoice part.

Basically in the products part of the invoice at the bottom where it shows

Sub-total
Total

->

Sub-total
GST
Total

Thanks!

Hi,

GST is a tax rule ?
The taxes are already present on the invoices, have you enabled the option "detailed_tax_display" in Config > Main > Taxes.

Yes GST is a tax rule in Australia and has to be displayed to show what portion of the price is actual tax. I have it enabled but still doesn't display as like:

Sub total $100
GST $10
TOTAL $110

it seems that my subtotal is the same as total which i assume takes into account tax and price together where i would like to have it changed to the above on the invoice.

It looks as though your products are not picking up the GST at all.

Things to check:

Make sure Australia is published as a tax zone (System > Configuration > Zones)
Set the main tax zone to Australia (System > Configuration > Taxes)
Create a tax rate with tax namekey as "GST" with a rate of 10% (System > Configuration > Taxes > Manage Rates)
Create a tax rule for Australia (System > Taxes > New) where:
Product tax category = Default Tax Category
Rate = GST (10%)
Zone = Australia

Test a product to see if the tax is actually being recognised by putting in a Price with tax on the product edit page and then clicking into the Price box which should then auto calc the pre tax price.

May help.

I think i fixed it.

Seemed as everything I had was correct but had an ordered product that had not taken the updates of the tax effect when updating prices, hence only displaying unit price only and not GST as it should have.
All good now though.

Thanks for the help anyway!
