i'm finding that if a customer empties their cart that they are automatically logged out - is there a way to change this? They really need to be kept logged in unless they click 'log out' or after it times out.

kind regards,
Tanya

Hi,

There is no such option in HikaShop.
The logout is not done while the user want to empty his cart.

We would require more precise information about it because we do not reproduce it.

it does it on my website here:

www.spaldingfasteners.co.uk/

-add an item to the cart
-proceed to checkout
-delete the item from the cart either in the checkout or in the mini cart on the left
-the user is logged out

if you require any more information please let me know

kind regards,

Hi,

What I see is that, when a product is removed from the cart, the user is redirected to the HTTP version of the website when previously on HTTPS.
By changing the domain, I think that the session is lost or is destroyed. That's why the user is logout after that.
Please check your joomla configuration, specially for the default url of the website. If "http" is mentioned in the configuration, it would explain why HikaShop make a redirection to an HTTP url.

Best regards,

The analysis of the problem is correct, I think. However, the setting is in the Hikashop configuration not the Joomla configuration. See 'System - Configuration' in the 'Cart' section. There is a field specifically for the url to go to after emptying the cart.

Hi,

I do not talk about the HikaShop configuration but the Joomla one.
There is a "live_site" option in the configuration.php file which indicate the "live url" of the website. I suppose that the url contains "http://" and not "https://".
