How to create a custom field for each product purc

Hi guys ,

I would like to know how to create a custom field for each product purchase.

I am selling stamps /chops and the each stamp would have different number of lines to fill in.

For Eg. A stamp product called A have 2 lines.

When purchase , during checkout ,

The customer would need to input the 2 lines of text for product A .

How would I achieve something like above ?

I think that you'll be able to do that by creating custom fields of the table "item" (the field will be on the product page) or of the table "order" (the field will be on the checkout) via the menu Display->Custom fields in the Business edition.
