Custom field changes cart behaviour and 2xNEXT

Hey Guys,

We have added an item Custom Field to just one product category that will allow a user to enter a NAME that they want put on the order (for personalization).

1) It works on the page that lists ALL of the products in that category (meaning they enter their name in the box, and hit add to cart and it magically appears in the cart displayed on the left).. however.. if the USER decides to click on the product and go to just the product page.. and does the same thing (enters their name and hits add to cart) the cart THEN decides to go to the page where you login. It does put it in the cart.. but this erratic showing of the page changes the flow and seems like something has gone wrong.

2) Another strange thing is the NEXT button. It always has to be clicked TWICE (not a huge issue in itself because a user does this assuming their click didn't go through, but think it should be fixed all the same.

1. I see that someone else has the same issue there:

So I replied there. Let's continue there.

2. That should only happens if you deactivated the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" option of the configuration. Can you check that this option is still on ?
