Different shipping rate for certain products

Hi,

I am trying to do the following but not having any luck. (and having ready the docs on Shipping per Product plugin... doesnt do what I need.)

My manual freight is setup for weight ranges for various zones (AU)

All working fine, but I am wanting a different shipping rate (weight ranges)for certain products that due to their volume, attract a different rate.

Standard Freight (1-5kg Sydney) - $10.50
Custom Freight (1-5kg Sydney) - $15.50

I can set them up but how do I assign the custom freight to the selected products I want?

I think that using the "Use price per product" option of your shipping method would be the best solution, then you'll just have to set the price of your shipping method through the shipping price tab of your product page.

Maybe I am not understanding how to set it up properly. I have read and tried to set up as per docs)

Lets take just one zone for the custom shipping (there are 14 in total)

Zone 1 will have rates for:
<1kg
1-5kg
6-10kg
11-20kg
21-50kg
51-100kg
101-250kg
251-500kg

How are they set up as a price per product?

What I wanted to say is that, you'll have 2 solutions :
1. Create 9 shipping methods with different shipping rates regarding the weight of your products :

<1kg
1-5kg
6-10kg
11-20kg
21-50kg
51-100kg
101-250kg
251-500kg
>500kg

I not getting this (sorry) and have poured over the docs trying to nut it out.

I currently have the rates that I mentioned; but not sure ho to go about creating a select custom set (for the select products)

All my my products have weights - nut only the select ones have volumes entered (W,H,T)

I want a special shipping rate Zone1-Special-1 ($10.69) for 'SpecialProduct-1' which has a volume of 100m2

What must I enter on the Zone1-Special-1 to get it to work.

Hi,

In the product edition page, you can set a price for the product, so this will be a custom price.
In your shipping method enable the "price per product" option, then set the price for shipping method and set a price for the custom products in the product edition page.
