Notify somebody on the waitlist of availability

Hi there,

I have activated the waitlist plugin and have a waitlist going for my product / event.

I have a event site and am refunding a participant. This now opens up a spot. I DON'T want somebody else to take the spot who is NOT on the waitlist (it should go to the first in line on the list).

However, I'm guessing that when I change the order status from "confirmed" to "cancelled" for the refund, anybody can come in and take the spot?

What do i do to avoid this?

Hi,

The waitlist is a notification system, when the email is send to the customer to tell him that the product is know in stock, his email is removed from the list.
And a customer without account could subscribe to the notification just with his email.
These two points make me think that it is not possible to use the waitlist for your request. It is a different feature.

That looks really close to what i need.

I just need to be able to have the system send the notification email about available product. It is not currently sending.

Hi,

Oh, I see.

Do you have configured the cron task ?

The waitlist notification is triggered by the cron task.
It will send an email to the X first customer in the list and, few time after, the next X customers, etc. (if the product is still available)
