PayPal does not take customer to the payment page

Hi There

I have searched the forums but can't find a solution to my specific problem. On this particular website I am running J! 1.5.26 and Hikashop Starter 2.1.3 - my client has a PayPal premium account (which is not a business account but it's not the basic one either - it's in between).

I have set up the PayPal Plugin (not the Pro one) and entered in the email address and configured the other settings, but when I test the checkout process and choose PayPal as the payment option when I click next it just takes me to my Thank You page and not to the PayPal payment page.

I check in orders and the order has a status of Created, but it never gives the customer the option to pay for it.

I also had a look at the payment log but the .log file didn't exist. I have Joomla messages in my template but don't get any errors etc.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

That could potentially happen if you delete the file plugins/hikashoppayment/paypal/paypal_end.php
Can you check that you still have it ?
If not, you can get it from the folder back/extensions/plg_hikashoppayment_paypal in the install package.

Otherwise, please provide a link to your shop so that we can see that.

plugins/hikashoppayment/paypal/paypal_end.php is definitely there - it has not been deleted.

The URL for the shop is www.woddlers.com.au - I will enable the PayPal plugin but this is a live site, so I don't want to leave it enabled for very long if its not working.

Thanks!

Hi,

Do you have some custom views ?
Can you provide a screenshot of your paypal configuration ? (you can clean the username in the image)

Not sure what you mean by custom views - but I don't think so. I think it's all just standard. I did make the template myself from scratch though...

PayPal setup screenshot attached...

I have tried it with numerous options in the setup like with and without IPs, and tried various combinations of some of the other settings. But see if you can see anything...

Hi,

I think you have some custom views (maybe custom "checkout" views).
Would it be possible to have a backend access to check your configuration ? (you can send me it by private message).

Thanks,

Hi Jerome

You were right... I had customised the checkout view "end". I set this site up a couple of years ago and forgot I even did that (because I haven't done it since).

I reverted it back to the original and it works fine.

Thanks again! Appreciate it!

Cheers
