Hello,
Perhaps you can tell what is going wrong.
I have set the google merchant on a automatic upload.
That is working OK. I get a nice message that product have been feeded into Google merchant.
But now it say that all products are rejected.
All images are set as critical.

Can you tell what is wrong?

Kind regards

Hi,

You're talking about the "HikaShop Google product" plugin ?

Hello Jerome,
I think that the move of Google merchant to G Shopping creates the failure.
Since I uploaded the google plugin also my crawl errors are largely increased.
Do you have any experience on that?

What are the errors you have ?

Google changed its requirements a few months ago for Google product/merchant so the plugin needs to be configured properly or it could throw error messages on Google product/merchant when you import the XML.

Hi Nicolas,
I think it has several errors.
So I will try to discibe it

  • 1. It says XML error

This is the google text
<g:event_dateTime>
<g:from>2005-12-20T14:00:00
<g:to>2005-12-20T19:00:00</g:to>
</g:event_dateTime>

The XML generates an error because the attribute tag <g:from> doesn't have a matching end-tag </g:from>. Each attribute tag must be terminated by the matching end-tag:
<g:event_dateTime>
<g:from>2005-12-20T14:00:00</g:from>
<g:to>2005-12-20T19:00:00</g:to>
</g:event_dateTime>
  1. 2. Missing shipping information. I don't know if this is needed?
  2. 3. Missing Google Category

There is no such even_dateTime tags in HikaShop, nor from/to tags.
Are you sure that you're using HikaShop's google product plugin ? Dod you change the code of the plugin ?

Hi,
I have added a screenshot of the plugin to the topic.
The plugin isn't modified. I'm missing the skills for that ;)
Currently I have swithed of the plugin.
The Google dashboard says that all products are rejected.
All do the automatic uploading works fine and everything is quiet easy to install.
Perhaps you can see something wrong in the screenshot.

Hi there,

It's indeed our plugin but there is no such tag either in the code or in test XML files I just generated.
Are you using the download feature to see these tags?
Also, did you re-installed this plugin from another source?

Hello Eliot,
I have used the automated down/upload with FTP to google.
Would it be an idea to mail you a download?

Yes, it would be a good start so that we can see what is the XML code generated by the plugin.
You can send it to nicolas at hikashop dot com

Hi,

I got your XML and checked it out.

What I could see:

1. The tags

<g:event_dateTime>
<g:from>2005-12-20T14:00:00
<g:to>2005-12-20T19:00:00</g:to>
</g:event_dateTime>
are not present in the XML file, so it is not possible that the error about the from tag is generated by HikaShop, it has to come from something else.

2. Shipping information and google category are not mandatory as far as I know so it shouldn't be a problem either.

Can you try to import that XML manually via your google merchant account ? What exact error messages do you get ?
If you don't have any blocking errors, if you activate again the automatic upload of the xml in the google product plugin, do you get any errors from the automatic imports ? If yes, what are they ?
