Hi,

Where do you need them horizontally displayed ? In a module ?
I don't really understand what you need.

I had to uninstall HikaShop for a short period of time as it was creating problems with another module, so I have to figure out the conflict! But what I want is the Categories and Products within those categories to display horizontally like so:

NFL MLB NCAA NASCAR

Right now it is displaying:

NFL
MLB
NCAA
NASCAR

and the products are vertical too, and I wan them Horizontal also, or you could also say left to right and not up and down!

I am still using HikaShop to learn it on a localhost server until I can figure out the conflicts I am having, and learn how to use it!

Basically like this site I already own:

www.sportsdepotinc.com/servlet/StoreFront

I want the HikaShop to pretty much mirror that site in looks and style, or close to it anyway! But for sure the horizontal categories and rows of products within a category

I must say I am so confused and have been using Joomla for 6-8 years! I know eventually I will get it :)

Hi,

You just have to set the column number of the configuration to the number of columns you want and voilà.
Note however that if you have the option "use bootstrap design" of the configuration of HikaShop turned on and that your template is not compatible with bootstrap, it will display everything vertically so please make sure that this option is turned off.

Settings the "Use Bootstrap Design" to Off was the problem. I wouldn't have found this in a million years! Thank You! Any idea why it is turned on by default?

Hi,

The option is set to "on" by default for Joomla 3.
Because Joomla 3 includes bootstrap and jQuery and there is a "rule" which said that all templates should include it too. But unfortunately...
So we created the option to deactive it.

And I am using Joomla 3.1 yet HikaShop dd not work correctly ( well the category layout) until I turned it off!

Thanks for all your help!

Last question, any idea how to get the breadcrumbs working and the breadcrumbs module is already on and published! So it will show for instance:

Home>NFL>Dallas Cowboys>Dallas Cowboys Car Flag so a user can click on the breadcrumb to navigate quicker! Or something similar to this!

Hi,

The problem does not came from Joomla 3.1 but from the template you are using.
The default template of Joomla 3.1 (and 3.0) is bootstrap compatible, like the default backend template of Joomla 3.1

About your breadcrumb question, I do not understand it.

Then it's probably that you restricted your breadcrumb module to only some menus and not to the HikaShop menus. So you need to edit the options of the breadcrumb and check on that. I don't think that this is related to HikaShop as HikaShop does not intervene in the breadcrumb module display.
