I have a current running website that is run on mijoshop shopping-cart and i just purchased Hikashop, I need to leave it on the same domain but want to move everything(1500 products) to Hikashop Bussiness and i also have the front editing module. Do you have an easy way to do it like with virtuemart?

Hi,

Wé don't have an easy solution as for Virtuemart.
You will have to export your products and manage the csv file to match with the hikashop format.
Or you can make a script to get the data from the mijoshop tables, and manageable data to save it then in the hikashop tables.

You need to see that with MijoShop. They should have a way to export products as a CSV on their end.
Then you can change the column names of the CSV via Excel so that they correspond to Hikashop's and finally you can import it to HikaShop.

The images in HikaShop are all stored in the folder media/com_hikashop/upload so you can put them there via FTP.

I don't have the top menu in the admin side, I tell you the starter shop worked better then the business one. I am pretty close to just give up

Hi,

You can import it via the menu Products->Import of HikaShop.

If you don't have the top menu, it's either coming from a bug of JSN Power Admin (if you have it installed) or that you set the "menu position" option of the configuration to "below the title" instead of "above the content".

If they do not connect, it usually means that the name of the file in the CSV and in the folder are not the same.
For example, if the case of the file extension is JPG while you have jpg in the CSV, HikaShop won't consider it as the same file.

It could also potentially come from HikaShop being unable to generate the thumbnails because it doesn't have the permissions on the folder media/com_hikashop/upload in order to create the thumbnails folders.

If you CSV is correct the product will be connected to the correct category automatically.
For that you need to have a "categories" column with the name of the category in it for each product.

Regarding the files, if it doesn't work, please provide the CSV with a screenshot of the product with the image not being linked and the name of that product and a screenshot of the folder with the image file listed in it so that we can see that. There must be something wrong somewhere.
