Hi,

It is done thanks to the step "address" in the checkout workflow.
If you don't have this step in your checkout workflow, the user won't be able to set his shipping (and billing) address.

Thanks for the reply. I've added address to the checkout workflow. The workflow order is now shipping, payment, address, cart. However when in the cart I have options for shipping, payment method and the product. When I proceed I am asked to create or select an address. I cannot figure out where to create the address field to have it in the workflow. Can you provide some direction?

Thanks

Hi,

I don't understand your message and what you can't do.
At this moment, we will need more details, like screenshot or simply, a link to your website.

The website is www.sunnehanna.com . Please visit the shop tab, pick a product and try to checkout. You will see the message and lack of ability to enter an address.

Thanks

Hi,

It looks like your "address" step is in the second page. Unfortunately, the shipping step require an address, which is not set.
Please set "address" in the same group than "shipping" or a group before. But not after. It is not logical.

Other thing, you do not have any "login" step.

Thank you for the help. I'm still struggling with the checkout workflow a bit. I had it working a few minutes yesterday but cannot get it back. Here is what my workflow looks like-

Shipping Address Payment
Cart Login Cart

When the customer is taken to the address/login screen, they are asked to login. I don't want the customer to have to login as they don't have logins. I want the popup address box to open so they can enter their address. Can you please help me with this?

Thanks

Hi,

If you don't want customer to be logged, you have to use the "no registration" (or "simplified registration").
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio....html#checkout_login

Registration : When this option is set to "no registration" the fields name, username, password and password verification from the HikaShop registration form will be removed and no Joomla user account will be created for the user on the website. When it is set to "simplified registration", those fields will also be removed but an account will be automatically created for the users and an email will be sent to him with his assigned username and password. When this option is set to registration, the users will have to register on the website during the checkout. This option is available in all commercial versions of HikaShop (since 1.3.7). On the starter edition only the registration mode is possible. Finally, please note that when you sell digital goods, the download of these goods is restricted to the users who bought the digital goods. In order to do that check HikaShop needs you to have user accounts for your users, which means that you will have to use either "registration" or "simplified registration".

Thanks for the reply. I understand how it works now. The only problem is that my registration option says "only available in commercial versions". There is no option to change my registration type. Any advice?

Thanks

Indeed, that option is only available in commercial editions of HikaShop.
If you want that your customers don't have to register during the checkout, I'm afraid that you'll have to upgrade to a commercial edition.

How can I configure the system so that customers can register? The registration option does seem to be available in my version. I just want to be able to setup the system where customers can buy products.

Thanks

Hi,

If you want that customer could register, you have to add the step "login" in the beginning of your checkout workflow.
So the customer can login (using an existing account) or register.
But, it has to be in the first page of the checkout workflow.

I have the login step at the beginning of the workflow. It gives the customer the option to Login, which my customers cannot do be they are not registerd. There is also the option to register, but under register it says "registration not allowed. How can I get the system to allow customer registrations?

I understand you must have the paid version to change registration settings. Is there anyway to get the system to work without having the paid version?

Thanks

Hi,

No you do not require the paid version for this feature.
I think the registration is forbidden (deactivate) in your joomla configuration.

Sorry to keep with the questions but I'm struggling. I cannot find where to deactivate the forbidden registration. Where would it be located?

Thanks
