Cant Choose a Product/Category when applying Coupo

Hello.
I want to be able to choose a specific category or product when applying a coupon, however it will not allow me to select a specific category or even a product. It's not working. When I try to create a coupon and click on the section to add a specific category, I can add the category but then there is not an "OK" button to click on and apply this category to create the coupon. It does the same for the products. If I choose a specific product, it does not do anything, just shows a white screen with product I have chosen and nothing else(no "OK" button to click, nothing). I have to click back to get out of that page to go to the beginning of discounts page and start over. Is there a bug or could it be corrupt because something is wrong.

I can use a coupon or discount if I do not choose any products or categories and leave them blank, but then it applies to all products in my store. I don't want it to do that. It's pretty self explanitory on how to create and use these discount options, but for some reason there is a glitch when I try to be more specific in choosing a category or a certain product as these functions do not work and I have to leave field with no category/products selected or it will not work.

Please advise me what I'm doing worng or is there a bug that needs to be updated?

Hello.
We have installed the most recent update and the coupon/discount still does not work. I can go in and apply a coupon to all categories, but not to a specific category of items. I'm aware of the green plus symbols, but when I click on it, they do not work. Nothing happens when they are clicked on. Please advise.
