How to calcuate shipping by total weight in cart

Hi, this may be a stupid question but here goes...

I am using the UPS shipping plugin.

If I have an item in the cart that weighs 5oz, the shipping cost for it is $11.62. If I add an additional 5oz item to the cart the price doubles to $23.24. This can't be right because the total weight is only 10oz and I have another item that is 2 lbs. and it only costs $12.31 to ship.

No matter the items/total weight, if I add two, the price doubles. Three, it triples, etc.

I'm obviously doing something wrong.

Hi,

I think the plugin does not groups the products and create a "box" for each product.
You should look at the dimensions of your prdocuts and the options for the "group packages" in the UPS plugin configuration.

I clicked "Group Packages = Yes" and it's fixed. Oh my god, how simple was that! I knew I was just missing something.
