Two different prices for the same product

Hello. I 've got a bit of a problem with prices combined with VAT. I've got a product ( a book) that is sold world wide. If I sell the product within the EU, I am obliged to sell the book including 6% VAT. I sell the book for €29,95 If I sell the book outside the EU, I have to sell it with no VAT. Normally this would mean that my book is slightly lower priced (€28,25). Still I would like to use the same unit price, all over, or else I get all kinds of questions that I do not want.

I do want to use the invoice service by the way, so I do need to have the VAT mentioned.

So, the question is: can we use two prices for the same book, one being 28,25 ex VAT and one 29,95 with no VAT? This way, the book will appear evenly priced all over the world.
Can you do that? And how? And if not, what else is there to work ourselves around this issue?

Hi,

You can't do that.
The simplest would be to only have the 29,95 price on the product and then edit the file "invoice" of the view "order" for your backend template via the menu Display->Views to display the VAT line and calculate yourself the 6% VAT based off the total price of the products if the user address is in Europe.

Yes, that is the easiest solution.
Thanks for helping Nicolas
