Hi,

When using "no registration" with downloadable products, it still sends a link to an login area in the confirmation e-mail.
How do I change that?

I used VM before, and there you get a unique download link that works for a period of time, even if you havent registered,
thats what I'm after :)

Any help would be great!

Hi,

I think that you'll probably find your answer there :

If you want to have a checkout without registration but with address, you will have to have both "login" and "address" views in the checkout workflow. Then, in the Checkout tab of the configuration, you can change the option "registration" to "no registration" in order to remove the creation of a user account. Also, you can turn off the "login" option there to remove the login area of the checkout.
That way, you will still have the address form but no user account would be created.
That "Registration" option is only available in our commercial editions.

Hope this will help you a little.

Hi Mohamed,

Thanks for reply, but that is how I got it set up right now.
The order goes thru alright but when clicking the download link in the confirmation e-mail it just opens a login area and not downloadning the product right away.

Thanks anyway :)

Yes that's the way it is. The system in HikaShop is different than the one in VM.
In VM if you give the link to someone else, he will be able to download it. With our system, you have to be logged in to use the link so they won't be able to share the link.

Thanks alot for clarification Nicolas.

That's too bad, it's just too many steps for a simple order when you only use paypal (like many does).
The ultimate would be straight from mini/cart to paypal, and then mailadress used at paypal gets back to hikashop and a links sends out.
When we skipped the whole login thing at the old VM store the sales increased with 60%,
people are just fed up with all account-making everywhere.
Don't think the login protects the goods either, how hard is it to just send a copy to your friend hehe?

Maybe something to consider for the future ;)

All Best
Roland
