Stay and display a pop up notice (not working)

What do you mean with "doesn't work" ?
Is there a javascript error in your page ? Do you have set a good value for the popup delay ?
If the delay is too low, the popup will be displayed but you won't have the time to see it.

That's a bug that we already found and the fix will be in next version.

If you want to fix it before next version, you can remove the line:
$this->params->set('show_quantity_field',$config->get('show_quantity_field'));
in the file components/com_hikashop/views/product/view.html.php
