Currently our client has reported that they get :

You are not authorized to see this resource

When trying to show a cart before being logged in.

I verified this at :

www.example.com/index.php?option=com_hik...=showcart&Itemid=603

...

Are we overlooking something obvious in the management interface ?

========

Also, we are about to add related products.

Our Joomla! menu items are assigned Products listing. And the Content menu associates the required category.

What is the best way to always show related products on the product page ? Do we use an associated module in this instance ?

We have created a 'Related Products' Content module, and associated it, but it did not display.

In config : 'Modules to display under the main area' is set to 'Related Products' - published/yes

Do Hikashop Module still require a Joomla! template position ?

Screenshot of a content module and related content module attached.

I think that you'll find some answer about your related product module through the documentation .

We did read it and it appears correct. If you could take a look whilst checking our cart issue, it would be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm not able to login with the given access.
Which version of HikaShop do you have ? 2.1.3 ?

The message in the cart is generally displayed when the cart is not to the person which want to see it.

For the related module, to display it on the product page, you have to use the option "Modules under the product page" in Configuration > Main > Product, and it don't require a Joomla position.

Apologies Xavier,

We changed it this morning, because we needed to keep working and were not sure if Mohamed had finished. We did not see any activity, but in any case we restored the last dbase dump and kept working.

I checked the showcart view, and understood that if one is not registered then you get that message.

$this->cartVal->user_id == $userCurrent

So I guess it behaves as it should. We have had to understand that the 'cart' in question is part of the cart/carts management system. It's logic and presentation is somewhat different to the checkout cart.

We are modifying that view to allow unregistered access to the cart.

Questions :

Is there a way to invoke the checkout controller and only display the checkout cart ?

Is there somewhere in the interface that we can clear the cart when a logged in user logs out ?

...

Related Products is resolved

...

Thanks again

Hi,

I think that it will be easiest to customize the view "cart / showcart" as "checkout / cart".

To clear the cart, you can maybe use the option "Cart retaining period" in Configuration > Main > Cart to change the cart retaining period.
