Hallo.

After an problem posted before www.hikashop.com/fr/forum/4-how-to/83335...igation-problem.html

i have an issue that the number of products are not the same as in category look here for example:

https://www. ilmondodiwit .com/shop/gioielli/23-ciondoli-ganesh.html (take out space)

Here are shown 15 products. I want to show random products but i want to show them all. In this category there are more then 20 products now but only 15 shown.

How can i make that there are following pages shown if the product number exceeds the page view number setted in system ->configuration -> views -> product

thanks for reply

Hi,

To display 15 products per page and have pagination you have to disable the option "random".
Random is to display only the previously set number of products randomly choosen.

What you need is change the option of the ordering. To display the products without any ordering, you can choose the value "ordering"

Thanks for your reply.

That was the reason thanks. Is there any reason why you don't want the pagination with random products. For me it would be important to leave random products with pagination.

Thanks for reply

I am having a problem displaying more than the first page it gives a 404 error

dabblingontheweb.com/garden/products-listing

Please try to see more than 20 products.

Same problem, difference store!

dabblingontheweb.com/electronics/browse-all
dabblingontheweb.com/electronics/hikasho...d-ipad-music-docking

Error is category not found and article not found. What could be causing this problem?

@kubwit since the products change randomly on the page, if you display several pages, you will get the same product on several pages and sometimes you won't get a product display even though you went on all the pages since the products displayed on each page are selected randomly from all the products possible. So it wouldn't be logical to allow that as far as I can see.

@zoombi3 please open a new thread when your message is not directly related to a thread.
The problem is apparently coming from the live_site option of your joomla configuration.php file which is not the same as your website URL. Please fix it and that should then work properly.

Thank you for getting back to me. I will start a new thread in the future.

I changed the var $live_site but it did not help the problem. It is almost like it is trying to use FTP credentials to pull this information from some strange place. ie. ~dabbling

Yes, that comes from the URL that you set as base. Normally it comes from the live_site URL of the configuration.php file. You can try to remove that param from the file.

No luck. There isn't anything that references ~dabbling in the configuration file. Is there another file where I might find the solution?

It seems to be an issue with the connection string somewhere with Godaddy.

I created a new site and the problem still occurs

dabblingontheweb.com/homegarden/hikashop...tegory/12-category-1

What should the URL be instead of this

dabblingontheweb.com/~dabbling/garden/products-listing

~dabbling is my primary FTP username with Godaddy and I have no idea how it is associated with Joomla or Hikashop.

I do not have the option to delete the primary ftp username only change the name which I changed to dabbler but the links still have ~dabbling. Would you be able to fix this error for me if I upgraded? I really like your product and would like to continue using it.

You apparently have a server strangely configured.
Change the line:
$requestUri = $_SERVER["REDIRECT_URL"];

to:
$requestUri = $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"];

in the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/helper.php and that will work around your server settings and that should then work fine
