Have been playing with hikashop from time to time for a few months. Still puzzled by these questions. Really appreciated if someone could help me out.
1. How to customize the checkout message displayed after the checkout process is finished. mine is currently saying "You can now send us a check with the amount of $xxx using the following information." However, I want it to say something like "We will send you the payment of $xxx in xx days using the method you chose during the checkout process" because we run a purchasing program where we pay our customers for things they send to us.

2. How to automatically generate a shipping label or if that's not available to generate a fedex shipping label by clicking a button based on the order information(address, weight). I was trying to setup the "hikashop fedex shipping plugin" but I don't know where to find meter id, api key(i can only see my account number in my fedex account). If I publish it without those information, it would report error:"The FEDEW shipping plugin needs the SOAP library installed but it seems that it is not available on your server. Please contact your web hosting to set it up." Could somebody tell me how to do that, not only estimating the cost but actually generate a shipping label in pdf format?

3. Processing orders. How do I attach some information(notes or comments) to the orders? or add shipping/tracking information if the system can not generate a shipping label and add that information automatically.

4. Order Numbers. my order numbers are two letters long. I know only commercial version allows you to customize the order no format but is there anyway to make it longer in starter version? even though i plan to buy the commercial version but i would like to see how it works first.

Thanks,

Hi there,

1. For your first question, just take a look at your language file in System>Configuration>Language and find this translation, you will then be able to edit it.
2. I'm not sure I understood your second question, you just want the shipping label to change for each command? I yes, you'll have to write some custom code in the shipping plugin file in order to generate a different label according to the given datas. It will require some php skills.
3. Where do you want to attach these informations? Within the email? If so, you can edit the email structure in Systeme>email and add the desired informations.
4. You can only do this in the commercial versions but if you want to test it you can take a look at our demo website: demo.hikashop.com

Eliot, thanks for the response

1. I was able to change the language in the confirmation page.
2. I was trying to generate shipping label in pdf format for each order. Do you know any plug in that can generate shipping labels and can also be integrated into hikashop.
3. Its best to have it in each order's information page. Like some comments about the order, images, and the tracking information for orders.

2. PayPal can handle directly shipping labels for UPS and USPS: www.paypal.com/shipping
Regarding FedEx, that will probably require a third party tool like this one: www.fedex.com/us/zfirm/shiprush/index.html

3. You can create custom fields of the table "order" via the menu Display->Custom fields in the Business edition for that.

Thanks for the comments again, Nicolas. The problem for me is I don't get payment through paypal but instead sending out payment, so I wouldn't be able to see that transaction in paypal because my customers don't pay. I have been using paypal and shiprush extensively but as far as i know they can't work directly with hikashop ecommerce store, can they?

3. I will try business edition very soon. thanks for the tip in advance

If you don't use paypal for your payments then you won't get the data needed in PayPal for the labels.
In HikaShop, you can export your orders data as a CSV via the export button of the orders listing of the backend. That will contain all the data of the orders. Then, you can use a shipping label tool which allows for CSV import of the data but the format might not fit and you might need to modify the CSV before importing it.
Another simpler solution would be to use our quickbooks plugin www.hikashop.com/en/forum/2-general-talk...tegration.html#93276 to generate quickbooks compatible exports and then import them in quickbooks and use a shipping label tool for quickbooks. quickbooks.intuit.com/product/add_ons/shipping_manager.jsp
