Adding Custom Text to a Product

Morning

I am in need of more help. I have a custom who is selling cards and would like to add a option so the customer can add some text to the product so that the card can be hand written.

I tried all sort so of ways but not having any success. What would someone suggest is the best way to do this?

Hi there,

The easiest way is to create a custom field on the table "item" and with a type "text".
Applied on your product it will allow customers to add a custom text on the products.

Thank you for your reply. That's what I was thinking, but how do I add a price to it?

I have tired that as well, but didnt work how I wanted it to. But I think the option with some custom code will work. I will go down that line.
