Deprecated issue in cart & Plugins HELP

Hello,
I keep getting these deprecated issues in my cart now in each product, shipping plugins, and even in the section on orders from customers if I click on the email section to email a cutomer in backend.
Here is an example of this from a product: Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /home/spectacu/public_html/plugins/editors-xtd/contenttemplater/helper.php on line 296

Here is an example of this in the email section from backend of an order:

Here is an example of this in the hikashop UPS shipping plugin:

I'm having so many problems with cart and now got this deprecated issue. Can someone please help. I have spent too much money because I continuously have to pay my programmer to continuously fix cart issues. My Programmer in the past wasn't charging me everytime to fix cart issues, but now he said since it's an ongoing problem with cart, he needs to charge. He stated everytime he does update or fixes a cart issue another problem arises with cart. When he fixes one problem with cart, it causes another issue. He feels he needs to get paid if he continously has to fix problems. He feels these are cart issues not his programming issues. Since I'm not a programmer I don't know if these continuous issues are a cart problem or a programmer problem. I need to know because it's costing me too much now to keep fixing the cart that I'm at the point of getting rid of cart. It's now costing me more money for the continuous fixes on the cart than my business is making and it's close to putting me out of business .

Can you please tell me why I'm now getting this Deprecated message in the cart and how to fix this. I was told I need a new website template to fix this issues now. My site is only a little over a year old, so that seems crazy to me. Please advise. Your help would be appreciated.
