credit card checkout problem

Issue 1 - If a customer clicks on “payment method - credit card” the box for number and expiration date closes and unchecking it does not make it open – and the customer gets confused as he cannot enter his card info (clicking another selection will open the box however-if he bothers to stay on the page long enough and does not give up) -- Can I get the box to stay open? Or open when it is selected?

Issue 2 - I have had problems in the past with authorizenet automatically capturing when I only want it to “authorize only” – I have “instant capture” set to “no”. (In the past I changed some code one of the files but that was many versions ago and not longer seems to work.

Could you give us a screenshot of your checkout configuration?
I think it's related to the "Auto select default shipping and payment methods" option.
