Hi,

I am not sure if this is a bug or not, but when i click on the category list module on the right it takes me to the category page just fine, however the link then disappears from the categories module.

www.worcester-parts.net/

Any ideas why it would do this?

Thanks

Alex

Hi,

That's probably because you have the HikaShop option "synchronize with current content" of your module turned on.
Go in the menu Display->Content modules, edit your module and turn it off.

Hi Nicolas,

That is correct, can i ask why that option is there, would the only reason be to show sub categories to that parent category when you click into it? I would probably have needed to populate the website more first before it become clear.

Kind regards

Alex

That is indeed there for that.

Thank you for the clarification,

It is working well now, however i would prefer it if i can make the URL a bit shorter at the moment it looks like this:

www.worcester-parts.net/index.php/hikash...-boiler-parts-spares

Ideally i would want to lose the 'hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing' for SEO reasons, is this something that can be done or can this be achieved using SH404 Sef?

Kind regards

Alex

You can't loose it by default, but you can rename it. That's actually just the menu item alias. So if you change the menu item alias, that will change that piece of the URL.

Otherwise, yes, you can use a third party SEF alias system to modify URLs with greater latitudes.
