add a ticket fee

we sell event tickets for events. if we want to allow the event host to add our ticket fee separately how can we do this?

similar to here at eventbrite.

sorry no screenshots but let me explain.

if we sell tickets for a event for say $100. That is the amount the event host gets to keep. We get paid $5.

Two ways to have the event host list a product with us (to net $100).

option 1 (what we currently use): list the event at $105 so they keep 100 and we get paid 5
option 2 (what I would like to offer): list the event for $100 and separately list the fee at $5

in option 2 the purchaser of the ticket sees that the event host is only keeping 100 and that we are getting 5 separately.

One option is to create a manual shipping method named "ticket fee" and charged with $5.
Then apply this shipping method for your products and it should display in the checkout as something separate

Great. I think this "force shipping regardless of weight" is then causing "shipping" on all products.

I only want this option on some but not all.

any other ideas?
