select images

in the online back-end demo for products, when you choose "select" for images, a pop-up of the image directory appears so that you can make a selection...

I don't have this! When I choose select, the pop-up appears, but it is empty...here is what i get...




in my hikashop main config, my upload folder is set to "media/com_hikashop/upload/products"

how can i correct this?

What do you want to correct ?
Once you upload the images in your upload folder, you will see them in the selection popup.
If you want to change the upload folder to something else like the joomla images folder then do so in the configuration.

that's the problem...i have already uploaded the images to media/com_hikashop/upload/products, but they don't appear in the pop-up window

Are you sure you didn't changed the upload folder in the main configuration as Nicolas said?

yes, i am positive...

it reads...media/com_hikashop/upload/products

as a test, i just resaved configuration, made sure image was in this directory, went to product, clicked select image, pop-up opens and contains no images

Could you provide a backend and FTP access of your website so that we can look at that as we cannot reproduce the problem on our end ?

Hi,

The problem was a display problem.
The gallery opens the "upload" folder, which contains the "products" subfolder.
Because the folder does not contains any image, the container had a 0px height. So we changed the CSS in order to always display the container, which includes the folder tree browser that you couldn't see before.

We will see to update the system in order to open by default the upload folder for the product images.

Thank you for the usual great support.

Several things you need to know...

I usually use Chrome as my browser, and i will admit that i did not check firefox or ie...mainly because with chrome i was not having the issue when i looked at the demo site.

After you last message, i tried again with chrome and the problem still exists. I then tried both firefox and ie, and did NOT have the issue, so I went back to chrome, back to the hikashop demo site, tried it there and it worked fine...but...it still is not working on my site, so who knows!

In any case, the fact that I know it works with firefox and ie, if I need/want to do something with product images, I will use one of those browsers.

Just wanted you to know what I found, and thank you for the help!

Oh, one more thing...just for your info...my site use j3.1, and I notice that the demo is still j2.5...if that matters...

Hi,

I have just modified a CSS file. If you clear your browser cache, it should reload the CSS file and works better.
When I tested your website, I used chrome.
