require additional options

our product has users select additional options (tshirts) to add to the purchase. these are free, but they are important to have in the order.

a number of orders have come in without the options included or 2 of the 4 included. somehow people are deleting the shirts from their carts.

is there a way to make the "purchase" of options mandatory..eg, they can not be deleted from the cart?

Hi,

Yes, you have to enable the option "Group options with product" in Configuration > Main > Cart

OK thank you for the reply. i have made the change you mention.

I have a event that "requires" buyers to select 4 tshirt sizes:

However today, I got a order with only 3 shirt sizes selected (screenshot)



What could have caused this?

Hi,

By default it works good but, when I made some tests, I have reached a product limitation so HikaShop removes some products option from the cart without touching the main product.
So the result was a product, with less options because the limitation for this product (which is an option in the cart) has been reached.

I have maximum items in cart = 7...

are you suggesting this should be increased to avoid the issue?

Yes. And you should use a multiple of the number of products added for one article+options.
