HikaShop for mobile phones

I am using HikaShop Starter 2.1.3 with the Shape5 Vertex template that has a responsive layout feature to make a website mobile compatible. The settings are set to show 4 products per row and it works great when viewing on a desktop. Testing it on a mobile platform, however, and all for products (and their images) are smashed together, 4 products per row. My question is, how can I make it so that when viewing on a mobile platform, the products are viewed 1 per row? I couldn't find anything related to mobile settings in HikaShop, and not to sound "fill in the blank", but I literally do not have the time to browse the forum or Google. I do appreciate any help though.

I think that the way to make your page responsive is to use some specific CSS code like media queries for example.
But, you'll probably also find some answer there :

HikaShop has now an option in order to activate or deactivate the "bootstrap design".
It works with Joomla 3.x, 2.5 and 1.5 ; but it needs a bootstrap template.
