Hi,

For the moment the minimum/maximum quantity restriction is only available trough products page, so it will need more work to do it but you'll have the same result that if you set a category limit.
The best way will probably be to do it with the import/export CSV functions then you'll just have to edit your CSV file and import it.

Hello Mohamed

thanks for your feedback

Unfortunately I don't understand the solution proposed. :(
Is it possibile to set the minumum quantities on the categories?

To better understand the problem let me do an example:

In my ecommerce I have 2 bottle of wine:
- wine-red
- wine-white
Both are part of the category "wine".

In my case I want the customer buys at leest 2 bottles of the category "wine", he can buy
- 2 bottle of wine-red
- or 1 bottle of wine-red plus one bottle of wine-white.

The important thing is that the customer has to buy at minimum 2 bottles of wine.

Do you think is possible to do it with your solution?

My bad, I didn't completely understood your question so NO that won't be possible with my solution, but I think that this will be possible with the multivendor extension .
So you'll just have to :
- Restrict your products from a specific category to a specific vendor
- Create a shipping method per category and restrict this shipping method to your product's vendor
- Use the Maximum quantity option of your shipping method

Then no shipping method will be available if your customer have more than 2 product of a specific category in his cart for example.

Hello Mohamed

unfortunately I am using the shipping methods for other purposes and I cannot change it.

Is there a way to insert this functionalities as a new options in the next release of Hika?
Otherwise do you think is possible to customize the code to have what i need? (set a minimum quantity for a specific category)

Thanks and regards.

Hi,

Restrictions like that can be done with shipping methods.
We won't create another functionality to do the same thing.

Customization is possible in that endeavor yes. A developer should be able to do that for you via a custom category field and the customization of the cart file of the view checkout.

Hello Nicolas

could you please indicate me the files where Hika manages the maximum quantities for cart, week and so on?

I would like to try to customize it by myself.

Thanks and regards

As Nicolas said the best way will probably be to use a custom category field and to edit the cart file of the view checkout through "Hikashop->Display->Views"
