I am attempting to make use of Hikashop for the purpose of selling photography by publishing an add-to-cart button next to the image, whether it be within the gallery thumbnail or the lightbox popup.

Is there a way to include the Hikashop add-to-cart button upon pages and popups and pass the image number, URL and/or distinguishing data to single product variable?

I have tested a PhocaGallery-Virtuemart integration that makes use of Hikashop through a hack, but PhocaGallery is a very clunky system and is very difficult to administrate, particularly when uploading hundreds or thousands of photos a week into 10-50 galleries, as it is not very intuitive. Besides, the cart button that is rendered is redirects the user to the Hikashop product page. I'd prefer that it simply make use of Ajax update to cart.

I am considering making use of the new JoomlaWorks Simple Image Gallery Pro component, which would work well to easily manage galleries from within the component and/or K2 items. Keeping the gallery within K2 items would help tremendously, since plans are to use K2 for content, the reviews directory, and the gallery so that the site relies upon only one primary component, which would make updating and administration easy as well as enable tags and modules to operate site wide for all sections.

You can use the link of the "add to cart html button" button of each product edition page.

When the user click on it, the product is added to the cart directly (you can do it for variants too) and the user is redirected to the checkout automatically.
You can also trigger the same URL in ajax if you want it to not redirect the user to the checkout.
