I have tested a PhocaGallery-Virtuemart integration that makes use of Hikashop through a hack, but PhocaGallery is a very clunky system and is very difficult to administrate, particularly when uploading hundreds or thousands of photos a week into 10-50 galleries, as it is not very intuitive.
