registration group

Hello,

Is it possible to change the default registration group? I have a login section on my site where people can register and login to see special information.

I would like my online store customers to be put in a separate registration group.

Regarding your question I think that you'll probably find your answer there :

That's not possible. The default user group can be changed in the user configuration of joomla but you can have different user groups based on parameters in the URL. Not unless you modify the registration view to add an hiddne input field for that parameter and create a user plugin to change the user group of new users based on that hidden field value.
