Global relate products

Hey Guys,
We need to relate products between 2 categories.
For example, we sell downloadable videos, however we also sell these on DVD
We have a VOD category, as well as a DVD category.
With the new Mass Actions, can you explain if possible at all how we can Auto relate the same titles
between both product types in one action ?

For example: In VOD category we have a video titled " VIDEO 1 " we also have a DVD in the dvds category tittles " VIDEO 1 DVD "
for the VOD PRODUCT we would normally go in, add the product from the DVD category to it`s releated products and vise versa.

Can we achieve this with OUT having to open each product in EACH category ? if so can you explain best practice.

Hi,

Actually the mass actions allows you to add one or many products as related to one or many products.
But it don't allow to add a specific product from a category to another one in another category.

You will have to create a plugin to add this specific mass action.
Or do as many mass actions as the number of products.

Another way could be to do a little script to add a related product as another one if it has the same name or something like that.
