I have HikaShop Business 2.2.1 and I have been trying to setup different access levels in order to have different pricing for each group. Just for the record, we sell cable TV PPV events and customers are charged based on their establishment's occupancy.

However, even after following the advice of different tutorials and forum posts on the topic, I have been unable to activate the access level column in the product page. There should be an icon that I am unable to see.

Up to now I ascribed that to my inability to set the feature up properly, and that may still be the main reason, however, in reading this tutorial I am starting to suspect that maybe something is wrong with my installation.

For the moment I have one product and I have tired to choose the relevant user groups from the product page "Access Level" entry. I selected the groups I created in Joomla, yet on the pricing the access level in "pricing" is still inactive. Then I did the same at the category level. No difference.

Since there are other groups native to Joomla I would think that even without me creating new one I should see them available next to the prices in the product page. Yet, no matter if IO choose my custom user groups or the ones native to Joomla, the price access level remains off limits to me.

Yet, I have seen screenshots of them working and I do have the business edition. As I said, it's very possible I failed to set it up properly, in which case it would be nice to have a simple step by step on how to set them up. Otherwise should I try to install hikashop again?

What am I missing?

PS: I have another post that I originally made to learn the proper way to build my Joomla groups. It is located here:

Obviously I don't need two posts, but this one is much more specific since at the time I didn't realize I would have this problem. It can be deleted.

Hi,

You can only edit the access levels of prices once you save the prices.

I think In have figured it out. I first have to select "All" in the page ACL (bottom left corner) and then hit save for each new price I add. If I do that, the new pricing I setup will get the icon where I can select the proper user group. Once I am done I presume I can go back and only select the groups I want to be available pagewide.

Is this the way to do it? It seems a bit unintuitive to me. I guess I could setup all the different prices in advance and then save and assign each with the proper user group, but until I selected "All" in the ACL in the lower left corner, it didn't work at all and I saved multiple times.

Anyway, I'll try different ways and chalk up my first experience to inexperience.
