Excluding Filters from productpage and checkout.

1. I am using the filter module. I only want the filters to show on the product view (the menu item which shows ALL the products). Now when you click on a single product the filters are also visible on the product page (the page with only ONE product). How to exclude the filters from the product page?

2. The same goes for the checkout. I am using a module for the checkout. Now the filters are also visible on the checkout page. How to exclude the filters from the checkout page?

! i already set the standard joomla module restrictions to "only show on this page". But the filters are still visible on product page AND checkout page.

Even if you have already set it the problem is probably coming from the way you configured the "Module Assignment" Joomla restriction of your filter module, Can you show how did you configured it through some screenshots ?

I set the "module assignment" to only "show on the select pages", which is the HOME page.

But when i am on the HOME page and i try to proceed to the checkout (which i am using the cart MODULE for) the filters are also visible on the checkout page.

[Hopefully you guys can help me this time without asking for an URL, because the site is still local]

In the configuration of HikaShop, you need to set the "force menu on checkout" option to a different menu than the ones you untick in your modules and then the modules won't display on the checkout.

Hi,

Can you show me through some screenshots how did you configured :
- Your checkout : "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Your filter module, especially the module assignment and Menu selection options.

Thanks Nicolas. It worked, the filters aren't visible anymore at the checkout page.

BUT they are still visible at the product page. I'm using a hikashop "product view" menu item to show all the products within a category (for example Suncreme). When you click on the Hikashop "product view" menu item you will see ALL the suncremes we offer --> screenshot 1. HERE i want the filters to be visible.

BUT when clicking on a product --> screenshot 2. It opens the productpage. THERE i DON'T want to have the filter to be visible.

Hopefully you can help me with this one.

Hi,

For the product page, I guess that you can disable the modules displayed in the product page thanks to the option "modules under the product page" in Configuration > Main > Product.

Joomla has no option to discriminate between the product page and the products listing page as they are on the same menu item.
You will need to use an extension like Advanced Modules Manager which allows you to discriminate both type of pages for each module display on your website.

i already tried advanced module manager but still it ain't working...

"Joomla has no option to discriminate between the product page and the products listing page as they are on the same menu item", this is probably why the meta data i filled in for a specific product is NOT showing in the code when viewing a product at the product page. Like i posted in a former topic.

We've had several other users using AAM to do exactly that. So it means that you didn't configure properly the options of the modules in AAM. Unfortunately, without more information on how you did it, I can't say much.

The meta data of products is automatically displayed by HikaShop on product pages. If you don't see it there are 3 potential sources I can see:
1. You didn't enter any meta data in the product
2. You have some caching activated on your website and thus you don't see the modifications on the product pages.
3. There is a SEO extension which overrides the metadata set by HikaShop in order to put its own meta data. It's probably a system plugin which does that, so disabling them one by one to find the culprit is a good way to proceed.

According to point 2 and 3:

2. Not that i am aware off, the meta data filled in for the categories IS visible in the code. So if it is due to some kind of caching the meta data for the categories wouldn't be visible either right?

3. I don't have any third party SEO extensions installed on my website. Could it be a standard Joomla plugin? Like I said i am only facing this problem for the product page. On all other pages the meta data is visible via the code!

Waiting for more than three days to receive an answer is quite long after buying Hikashop Business isn't it!? Great support....

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, do you have a link to your website to check the meta data.
Have you tried to remove any caching system, and disable the plugins to see if something has changed ?

Regarding the answer time, we have a lot of support this last week. That's due to the public release of the version 2.2.2 I guess. Generally we answer in 24 hours. Note that when posting, you go back at the end of the queue, this can add some time to answer.

i tried several systems plugins but nothing worked. I do have the default joomla cache activated in combination with jch optimize plugin. But before i activated the core joomla cache and before installing jch optimize i was facing the same problems.

In addition i tried several things such as installing other versions of Hikashop. I installed the latest version of Hikashop starter 2.2.2 and after the installation the problem with the Meta data is gone. The same goes for installing Hikashop business 2.2.2. So it is a version problem I guess? Currently the website uses Hikashop business 2.1.1. I want to stick to this version because when updating to business version 2.2.2. some other problems occur.

Hi,

Because the problem is solved with a newest version of HikaShop, we can't continue to debug this issue.
What kind of problems do you have when updating ? Only display issues, or something else ?
