I can't checkout :-/

Hey, my name is Kim and i'm from Germany. I just set up a shop for my band Divided in Spheres. Now we wanted to sell some merch stuff on our website, but i have a problem.

If i click on "Checkout", i can register an account, but after confirmation i can't login and there is no button to head to the pay page.

Can you help me with my problem? Would be amazing, cause i really like the HikaShop :-)

Hi,

You can't login ?

I recommend you to remove the option "use bootstrap design" in your Hikashop configuration. The general look of your webshop will be better (like the selection of the payment method which does not have a nice look in "bootstrap design" without the bootstrap css).

Now i figure out that i can finish my order, when i register a new account. But there is still a problem:

If i want to buy some more stuff after my last order, i can't login at the shop checkout to finish my new order again. I have to creat a new account again, to do a second order.

What could be the problem?

Hi,

First of all it seems that you template don't display the System messages.
Thanks to add:

<jdoc:include type="message" />
in the index.php file of your template folder.
You have to place that code where you want to display the messages.

That can help you to see what the problem is.
Have you selected the "Guest" checkout option in Configuration > Checkout > Login & registration part ?
If yes, this don't create Joomla account, so you have to change the value of that option.

Thanks for your support! I added the system message code, works finde.

I can't selekt "Guest" at checkout. I will add a screenshot now. Perhaps this can help you to help me :-)

Hi,

In the backend, are the users added after a registration in the Joomla users menu ?
Can you try to enable a joomla login module to see if they can log in thanks to this module ?

Hey, i activated the login module, but i still can't login..

The Super-User login is okay, but i can't login as normal registered user :-(

It seems to be a but that we fixed on our end and which will be included in next version of HikaShop to be released this week.
If you can't wait for the release, please use our contact form in order to request a pre-version of the starter edition and then you'll be able to update and it should fix the problem for you...or you can just wait a few days.

Hm, today i updated my Hika Shop, but it still does not work :-/

I can order stuff by register a new account, but i can't login to do a follow-up order.. I always have to creat new accounts.

I see that you have Joomla 3.2.0 and that you activated the strong security features of Joomla 3.2.0. Please deactivate that as there are still bugs with it. Then, please try with a new registration and a new account and it will work.

This helped me out! Thanks :-)

For all the people who have the same problem:

Turn off the "Strong Password" option, save your choise and turn "Strong Password" back to "on". Save again. Register a new account and you will be able to login :-)
