Hi Hika team,

I am in need of your wisdom on how to implement custom filters for products.

Currently the filter module does not work for me at all. Firebug detects a javascript error and conflict on front end, on back end all filter types that require value input do not save that input.

While I work on getting an online version for you to inspect the issues, I hope you can answer some general questions I have in advance.

I will have a live site within a day. I will update you asap.

Here is what I am trying to achieve.
Layout list -> (selectable from the config)

Filter by.
- New
- On discount
- 25% discount
- 50% discount
- Price high to low
- Price low to high
Question - Is it possible to filter and sort products like the example above ?

Hi,

Sure you'll just have to create some categories like New/On discount/25% discount/50% discount/.. to add your products to these categories, and finally apply your discount on your product category.

Hi Hika team,
I have located and deleted the line of javascript that is conflicting with the filter module and nowit displays fine. Now I am playing with it to see what it can do and I am having trouble getting it to filter stuff.

Here is how it is configured.

Type: Cursor;
Category: Man shavers; (Contains 6 products)
Including sub categories: No

Extra information
Published: Yes;
Submit on click: No;
Disable filter: No;
Dynamic display : No;
Options
Apply on: Price;
Cursor maximum value: 150;
Cursor minimum value: 0;
Cursor steps: 10;
Cursor effect: No;
On the front end when I click filter it redirects to the page "product category" with an empty listing.

Also the cursor is displayed on top of the category listing page. Is there a way to remove it from there through the configuration?

Kind regards,

Drago.

That means that you display your filter via a filter module and that in the menu option of the module you entered the id of the category listing menu item instead of entering the id of the products listing menu item displaying all your products.
