HiKaShop Ecommerce is working by itself or has to

Dear Friends,
(1)I am very confused about many videos about installation of HikaShop. Almost every video on I saw shows me after installing joomla in the web hosting, the Hikashop is installed immediately. My question is after I install a joomla in the web hosting, then I install a joomla template/theme and design home page, etc and make a workable joomla website. And then I install HikaShop. I am puzzled here. In other words, do I need to design the joomla site first then install HikaShop. Or HiKaShop itself is a complete ecommerce online shop. I can add home page, about page, contact page, etc inside it or outside it. (2) Does HikaShop have 'Group Buy' feature? (3) HiKaShop Business costs 99.9 Euro. It is for lifetime or have to pay year by year after purchase?

Hi,

1. HikaShop is a joomla extension, it lives within your joomla website. So when you install Hikashop on your website and add HikaShop modules/menu items to it via the joomla modules/menus managers, you'll see them directly on your website frontpage, inside your template. HikaShop automatically uses the user information in Joomla and when someone registers in HikaShop during the checkout, it is actually added to the joomla users system (so other extensions on your joomla website will see them).
So you can build the home page of your website regardless of whether it's installed on your website or not. In any case, you'll be able to add HikaShop stuff onto it once you install HikaShop on the website.

2. I don't know what you mean exactly by "group buy". If you mean "getting a discount on some products because you buy several of them at once" then yes. If you mean "getting a clone of groupon.com on your website" then no.

3. It's for lifetime.

Many thanks for yiur reply. That gives me a go. Will you please advise （1）if I can install other third party extention to implement Groupon feature after HikaShop installation？ Any conflict？I search some extentions can do it from joomla extention site. （2）Does HikaShop free edition support multi language？（3）do the 3 version of hikashop suppor "limited sales" events？ I mean for example sales only active 24 hours. etc.

Hi,

1. We don't restrict thirdt party extensions use, but I don't know any available to do that with HikaShop. There exist other ecommerce solutions for joomla which are made exactly for that and if that's what you want, I would recommend to use them : extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-web/social-buy

2. Yes and no. If you install a third party extension like Falang or JoomFish you can have multi language content in HikaShop via them.

3. No. Only the Essential and Business editions do.

Will u pls advise euro 99.95 roughtly 154 austral dollar for business edition？Correct？I am not sure how much exactly in australia dollar？ （2）Are HikaShop compitable any joombla template？What I mean is if the joomla temple must be specially designed for hikashop？

Hi,

1. Yes, that will approximately that price. It will vary a bit based on the conversion rate the day of your purchase and with the conversion fees charged by PayPal or your bank.

2. HikaShop will work with any Joomla template, it doesn't have to be designed for HikaShop specifically.
