checkout facebook login error registration email

Hi, you may be able to help. I am using Facebook login when people are buying from my store, I only need their name and email details, nothing more, but when they login on the checkout page using Facebook i get the following error from hikashop (attached). The registration email doesn't get sent. I am guessing that there is something missing from the data collected via Facebook that is causing hikashop to refuse to send the email. If you know what this is then maybe i can 'cut' it out of the registration email code so that this error doesn't show. Ideally I would like to still have a registration email for people who do not login via Facebook so they get sent their account information.

It look like a global email issue, not related on HikaShop.
In HikaShop we use the Joomla email system. Are you sure that the other emails are working ? Like Contact, etc ?

All the other emails work it's only when trying to send a registration email when someone is logging in via facebook. My checkout process is simplified and doesnt require an address, just name and email so it should work i think hikashop must be looking for a field that Facebook doesn't supply in order to send the email but i am not sure what... Do you have any more ideas what might be causing it i dont have any sort of activation setup either on new user account, is it because it is trying to send them the password for their account but they don't have one because they logged in with Facebook?

Hi,

It is indeed not related on HikaShop, the error message is not an HikaShop one.
In HikaShop, we use the Joomla users, I think that if you try this registration method out of HikaShop you will have the same result.

You must maybe set another value for the Joomla option "New User Account Activation", self seems to not be compatible with the facebook connect plugin.

That's fair enough thanks for checking, for now i have hidden the error message.
