Is the HIKA shop documentation up-to-date?

The HIKA documentation is very hard to follow and not structured very well (particularly if your main sklils are in marketing and design), but it also appears to be out-of-date (unless I am using the wrong version of HIKA shop).

You refer to stuff in your documentation which does not appear to be in the back end. I do not have time to list all the instances but one does occur to me is: iin 'categories with a module' documentation. You mention 'display > content modules', but these don't seem to exist in my menu?

I have found other instances of this in other parts of the documentation

Is the documentation up-to-date?

Thanks

Ian

Hi,

This area has been modified with the latest version of HikaShop and we're currently working on rewriting that whole page in order to match with the new interface.
Basically, now all the settings are directly in the modules/menus manager of Joomla when you edit your menus/modules.
So these submenus of Display are not necessary anymore.

Hi Nicolas,

HIKA is clearly a clever piece of software, but the documentation needs a lot of work. It is very hard to find the information that is needed and sounds like it has been written by a developer who clearly understands the software, but would really benefit from someone who has design and UX skills.

Paragraph spaces and subheads would be a good start.

It is very frustrating to spend time reading or watching video documentation that is no longer applicable to the back end. It needs to be resolved ASAP, or people should be told that the documentation is in the process of being up-dated before they make a purchase.

Hope this feedback is useful.

Thanks

Ian
