Good afternoon.

I have been looking through the documentation and forums trying to determine if the UPS Shipping plugin submits shipping data to UPS in order to set up shipping and generate labels, or if all of that has to be done manually.

I have found conflicting information on the forums and would like clarification if possible.

In this post on the topic : www.hikashop.com/forum/shipping-methods/...-after-purchase.html

Xavier says:

In HikaShop we have an integration with UPS:
hikashop.com/support/support/documentati...ipping-ups-form.html

So that a label should be sent to you automatically by UPS, regarding the tracking code, I guess that it is sent directly by UPS.

In this post on the topic : www.hikashop.com/support/forum/4-how-to/...shipping-labels.html

Nicolas says : HikaShop doesn't send the customer information to UPS for label printing.

Those answers seem to conflict each other. At the very least they are confusing. So could you tell me which answer is correct? What does the UPS Shipping integration do exactly? Does it simply estimate shipping using information from UPS? Or does it also send info to ups for things like shipping label generation and pickup?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,
You're right these informations are a little conflicted, the current UPS shipping plugin only :
- Send your order information to the UPS platform
- Display the result that are returned from the UPS platform.
So it doesn't use the UPS "label" API, but it can be a good feature.

Any idea on how to do this?
It has to be manually done now, but it will be better if can be automated to avoid mistakes and typos, also just imagine if the store have 500 sales any given day!.
Also, if not UPS is there any other shipping method that currently support this for the USA and Canada?
