Hi all,

Do you know of a way where I can prevent vendors from creating crazy sized and formatted text in the product descriptions?

No HTML allowed - especially when text is pasted in.

I've tried TinyMCE with all the restrictions but this still lets you paste in HTML. I there a way to restrict in Hikashop or Hikamarket?

Any suggestions anyone?

Thx, Darrell

Hi,

There is an hidden option in HikaMarket for that.
You can add an entry in your #__hikamarket_config table for

vendor_safe_product_description
With the value "0".
Then your vendors product description will be clean by the Joomla Input filter system.

Otherwise, you have to use an override of your HikaShop product page and perform some filters before the content is displayed ; so you can remove the HTML and some other elements.

Excellent, thank you.

I love hidden features, except when they are hidden!

Hi,

I tried the setting as you suggested, but users can still paste things like this in the description. I just want to keep it to simple text only.

<pre class="content" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-family: inherit; white-space: pre-wrap; overflow-wrap: break-word; word-wrap: break-word; word-break: break-word; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; text-overflow: ellipsis; color: #000000; font-size: 17px; text-align: center;" data-hook="product-page-description-content">Celebrating the fusion
Any ideas?

Thx, Darrell

Hi,

Like I wrote in my previous message:

Otherwise, you have to use an override of your HikaShop product page and perform some filters before the content is displayed ; so you can remove the HTML and some other elements.

Otherwise, for your HikaMarket question ; please use the HikaMarket forum section.

Now that I have renewed my subscription for two years, I have to figure this out myself? Is this how it will be now?

I have asked questions about products in the Hikamarket forum before and have been told to post in the Hikashop forum. Which is it?

Hi,

When you create a new topic ( www.hikashop.com/forum/newtopic.html ) you have a form which ask you the "Question type" and that question will allow you to pickup the right forum section.
So your question for HikaShop will be in the HikaShop section and your questions for HikaMarket will be in the HikaMarket section.

And because I'm notice of all messages in the HikaMarket question I will be able to provide a more efficient support.
