Hi,

Yes and that's the default behavior except if you're using the plugin "validate free order".

Hello,
I have a question regarding free downloads.
If the plugin is on, then the user can download the free download without any registration at al.

Is there a possibility that they have to fill in their emailadress before downloading?

Just the emailadress, not a complete registration form.
This concerns only the free downloads.

Hi,

Free product files do not require any kind of login or registration.
Best would be to use a guest checkout with the minimum of fields (and the plugin, as explained in the previous message).
Otherwise, if your files are not really related to HikaShop products ; you can see for Joomla component dedicated in such feature.
