DateTime::__construct() [datetime.--construct]: Failed to parse time string (1985-15-03) at position 6 (5): Unexpected character

As you can see in the screenshot, we have a custom field asking the user for a date of birth. It uses a simple date picker and suggests a default date (to show user proper format).

However some users don't use the date picker or follow the format. This then creates a problem for the server when trying to edit user data. A error is thrown.

The validation must be in place to address this as the "allow" field is "Only Past Dates" but a inproper format is in fact not a past or future date.. it is not a date at all.

Any advice? Thanks.

Hi,

Please use the advanced date picker instead of the simple date picker.

Ok. now it will not validate... it will simply ignore. Example:

1. go here: www.wodrocket.com/index.php?option=com_h...ct&task=show&cid=535

2. click "add to cart"

3. awesomescreenshot.com/0693q779dd

Hi,

Your field is not required ; so if the user put something non valid, it will empty the field and if the field is not required, it will continue.
