Hi,

Has anyone gone to the effort of integrating Fancy Product Designer ( fancyproductdesigner.com/ ) into HikaShop?

I'm looking for a drag-and-drop product customizer to allow customers to drag components onto a grid. Each component has a specific price. Total price is based on components selected plus an amount based on the area covered by the components. Image of the job is stored with the order; the image of the job is used by the mould maker to create the mould.

Many thanks for your time.

Regards,

Hi,

Our project is underway to allow HikaShop to have custom products. The objective of the project is to have this:

fancyproductdesigner.com/product/t-shirt/

within HikaShop. That is, a defineable base product with catalogues of drag-and-drop options that can be added to the base product. No need to set up variants of the product with all the possible combinations of the product options. Once the customer has designed their custom product it gets saved and becomes a unique product in HikaShop, with image and price.

I will post updates to this thread as the project progresses.

Hi, any update to this project? We're using your jQuery version of Fancy Product Designer with HikaShop for a custom shop. We have it working with HikaShop, but would love for it to be more tightly integrated.

I haven't seen anything that is a "plug and play" off the shelf integration yet, and to be frank there doesn't seem to be much demand for a generic integration of Fancy Product Designer straight out of the box, as-is. All of our clients have wanted something very tailored to their own business.

We've integrated the Fancy Product Designer a few times, almost always with the API version. Using their API allows us to do a completely custom integration to meet any requirements for configurable products, custom user interface, mobile navigation, etc. However, having someone build a custom integration does require a significantly larger investment of time and money than buying an off-the-shelf extension.

I'm not aware of any really awesome addon product configurator extensions for HikaShop. That's because the majority of store owners' needs are already nicely met with the use of HikaShop options, variants and characteristics. There isn't enough market demand to make a generic product configurator extension financially viable.

Wonder if a quotation is provided for this case? We need to know if we can carry out this project

We are intended to make Hikashop work similiar to below 2
1. www.opentshirts.com/
2. www.idotshirt.com/

I think the pricing for this two will be very different as the 2nd only hav limited function
