I am well aware that Hikashop is designed to work with ACYmailing. In fact, we own the enterprise version of ACY mailing, but unfortunately our marketing people are fixated on using Mailchimp instead and so far I have had no luck finding a good solution to harvest subscriber during the hikashop registration.
I am still waging a campaign to switch to ACYmailing. Their objections are fleeble and they are coming from their ignorance. It doesn't matter how similar to them the process of creating and sending newsletter is, they stiull think Mailchimp is easier to use (it's not. They are both easy).
my question is this: Is there a way to give customers the option to subscribe (or not) to mailchimp during the hikashop registration?
I have an extension from these folks:
compojoom.com
and their product is callem "MailChimp for joomla". They even claim to have a plugin for Hikashop, but when I installed it on my staging site it turns out their plugin only works with the regular Joomla registration, not Hikashop's.
here is the ,ink to their extension:

I am at the very end of my rope with my marketing people. At this point I don't care how many great features ACYmailing has, I just want to make them happy and go back to my work.
Any help at all will be appreciated.
