-- HikaShop version -- : 3

hello all , how are you ?
i have a question before i will start using bussines version and akeeba subscription.
i need to create those things:
all user registration / login will be mange by the subscription..
2 user subscription :
1 - for one year x amount
2 - for tow years y amount
next when user that not registred want to purches product he will redirect to the akeeba subscription registretion / login page and will need to buy one of the 2 subscriptions.. then he can keep going to add to purches / see his account means his orders and subscription period.
after registration user can buy all kind of products in the site.

is that posible ? and can do with both ?

Hi,

The first part need to be managed by Akeeba, it can potentially set a specific user group to the user after registering with the subscription.

Then in HikaShop, restrict all the product access for the desired user groups.

So what you need is more akeeba subscription issues than HikaShop ones ;)
In hikashop you will just have to apply a product access restriction, and disable the registration redirect plugin which allow to handle the registration via hikashop.

Hi,

Our plugin allow to redirect the registration from Joomla to HikaShop, so if you disable it it will use the common Joomla form.
To use the akeeba one, they have maybe a plugin for that, not sure.

When purchasing products on HikaShop, if they are not registered, they will be redirected to a registration form, as said previously the Joomla one, if Akeeba don't have redirection.

In your case, I think that the best way will be to use the integration we have with Akeeba subscription, use the HikaShop registration and create the 2 kind of payment options as HikaShop products.
These products will be related with two akeeba subscriptions. Restrict the other products to a specific user group, then on the "registration" products edition page select the corresponding akeeba subscription, set a value for the option set a user group after purchase.

Doing like this allow the customers to pay subscription products, and allow the access to the common products only if a registration one has been bought.

I hope this answer to your question. Here is documentation about our integration:

Once Akeeba is added, will all existing products automatically have a subscription option or does each product need to have a subscription option turned on manually? The reason I am asking is the cart I am working on has hundreds of products.

Thank you

Hi,

Once you installed Akeeba Subscriptions, the integration plugin of HikaShop and configured some subscription plans in Akeeba Subscriptions, when you edit a product in the backend, you'll have a dropdown in order to select the subscription plan of the product. That way, it will be that subscription which will be attached to the customer when purchasing that product.
That information is stored in the column product_subscription_id of the product table.
If you want to enter that automatically, you can use a CSV import including that column in your CSV.

We have added the plugin and turned it on for a '1 month' subscription for this product (see attched):
www.buffalobuckscoffee.com/products/coff...arabica-coffee-beans

However, the option to choose 0,1,2, or 3 months is not selectable by the client in the product display or checkout. Are we doing something wrong, or do we have to use a different subscription plugin? Or have this one modified?

Do you know of other plugins that will do this? Do you know someone who could program Akeeba so it turns up in the Product Listing as a checkout option?

Thank you

Hi,

The easiest solution will be to create three different products with one different subscription period on them.
This way the client can choose the period directly when selecting the product.

Else another solution could be to create a custom item field with the desired values, and then thanks to custom code edit the value of the "product_subscription_id" custom product field when the client select another value. This require development skills.

If you are not a developer, you can post a request in the commercial jobs section of this forum.
